## Description

Sand Springs Martial Arts Taekwondo is a community-based martial arts program serving students in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It offers Taekwondo classes for people ages six and up, with sessions held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Chandler Park Community Center, 6500 W. 21st Street. The program emphasizes practical self-defense alongside self-control, discipline, perseverance, flexibility, balance, strength, and confidence. Its guiding philosophy, Choong-Sil, means continual improvement: students learn to fight well while developing the judgment and character to avoid fighting.

Instruction is provided by experienced black belts affiliated with the Choong-Sil Taekwondo Federation and World Taekwondo. The teaching team includes Master Leon Reeder, a seventh-degree black belt, and instructors with ranks from second to fifth degree. Classes combine martial arts training with lessons in respect, humility, and personal responsibility, supporting growth both on and off the mat. The program is currently taking students over six, though its Tuesday and Thursday classes have reported a waiting list. Full uniforms are required for class.
