## Description

Sutherland Shire Softball Association (SSSA) is a community sports association offering softball and Teeball for people of all ages and abilities in the Sutherland Shire, New South Wales. Affiliated with Softball NSW and a member of Softball Australia, SSSA supports participation from beginner levels through A Grade and representative teams.

The association’s Saturday competitions are held at Captain Cook Playing Fields in Woolooware, generally running from September or October through March, with a break during the Christmas school holidays. Competition options include Teeball, Modball, junior grades, A to D grades, mixed softball, men’s and women’s softball, and slowpitch. Players can join through one of the association’s 10 affiliated clubs, or submit an enquiry for help finding a team.

SSSA also provides information and resources for coaching, umpiring, and representative softball. Its umpiring sessions cover rules, game situations, and practical diamond skills. Through its competition calendar, club network, and representative programs, the association helps local players and officials take part in the sport.
