## Description

SSV Intercor e.V. is a basketball club based in Berlin’s Friedrichshain district, where it has built a strong local presence since its founding in 1983. The club welcomes people looking for a basketball team and promotes opportunities for players across different ages and ability levels. Its current teams include a women’s side, a men’s team competing in the Bezirksliga, another men’s team in the Kreisliga, and recreational basketball. Through cooperation with neighbouring club Freibeuter 2010 e.V., SSV Intercor contributes to a broad range of basketball options in Friedrichshain, from youth participation to competitive women’s and men’s teams.

The club’s history includes a women’s team promotion to the Regionalliga and victory in the 2011 German Deaf Basketball Championship, both achieved in cooperation with Berliner Gehörlosen Verein (BGSV). Its first men’s team has also competed in the Oberliga, the Berlin Basketball Association’s highest league. SSV Intercor shares information about teams, training and match times, club history, and reports, and invites prospective players and volunteers to get involved.
