## Description

Stal Hoeve ’t Zand is a small Dutch Shetland pony stable named after the forest beside the farm where the owners began their work together. The breeding program started in 2002 with black, small-sized Shetlands and focuses on ponies from carefully selected, pedigree-rich maternal lines, paired with approved stallions. The stable’s registered Shetlands are members of the Dutch Shetland Pony Studbook (NSPS) and are raised with close attention and regular handling.

Animal welfare, nutrition and health are central to the stable’s approach. Ponies are fully vaccinated and dewormed, receive care from a horse dentist and farrier, and are fed mainly organic feed, supplements and herbal hay. They stay in spacious individual stalls overnight, while pregnant mares receive dedicated foaling facilities with a birth alarm and round-the-clock camera monitoring.

The website presents the stable’s mares, stallions and foals, including current and past breeding seasons, and features ponies for sale as well as sold listings. Visitors can also find information about Shetland ponies and contact the stable to arrange a visit.
