## Description

Standing in the Gap Ministries (S.I.T.G.) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on supporting people affected by sex trafficking, prostitution, and drug addiction. Its mission is to help individuals find safety, hope, and a fresh start through compassionate outreach and practical assistance. The organization’s current services begin with rescue through street outreach and referrals from police departments and other organizations. Staff and volunteers work to build trust and meet immediate needs, including meals, clean clothing, hygiene items, help obtaining identification, and referrals or transportation to safe housing or recovery centers. S.I.T.G. also helps people transition into rehabilitation and work toward healthier, productive, sober lives. Its future plans include transitional and permanent housing, clinical counseling, Bible study, worship, life-skills workshops, education, job training, GED services, and employment support. Guided by a faith-based message of love and encouragement, the ministry seeks to help people rebuild their lives and maintain meaningful connections. It welcomes volunteers and donations, including money, clothing, toiletries, household goods, building supplies, and professional services.
