## Description

Stand Up! Records began its journey as a spinoff of "-ismist recordings," founded by Dan Schlissel, who transformed from a physics major into a Grammy award-winning entrepreneur. The label initially made its mark in the Midwestern punk scene, releasing works from bands like Slipknot and Killdozer. However, Schlissel's passion for comedy led to the evolution of Stand Up! Records, positioning it as America’s leading independent comedy label. With over 100 releases, the label showcases a diverse roster of talent, including renowned comedians like Maria Bamford, Patton Oswalt, and Greg Proops.

Stand Up! Records emphasizes that comedy is an art form that reflects our truths and challenges audiences. They offer a variety of formats, including vinyl, CDs, and digital downloads, all enhanced by eye-catching designs and collectable editions. Committed to delivering the most thought-provoking and entertaining material, Stand Up! Records maintains a firm belief that “comedy is calling,” promising to bring laughter and insight in every release.
