## Description

Stapledon Arts is a black-owned art supply store dedicated to empowering BIPOC artists and educators through inclusive, melanin-rich art supplies. Founded by artist and educator Charlecia Joy, the brand emerged from a genuine need for diverse representation in artistic tools, particularly in the classroom where students of color often experienced frustration with traditional supplies. The flagship Melanin Series includes pre-mixed acrylic paint and oil pastel sets, featuring a broad spectrum of skin tone shades that support portraiture and mixed media art.

Stapledon Arts is more than just a supplier; it serves as a platform that nurtures creativity among students, hobbyists, and professional artists. Its mission is to remove barriers and provide the tools necessary for authentic artistic expression, celebrating diverse experiences within the art community. By bridging the gap between representation and creativity, Stapledon Arts fosters inclusivity and confidence, making art accessible and relatable for everyone.
