STAR-Ghana is a national center for active citizenship and philanthropy, dedicated to promoting transparency, accountability, and responsiveness in Ghana. Our vision is to see an active and engaged civil society capable of articulating citizens’ demands and an effective state that is responsive and accountable to its citizens.

We work towards the development of a vibrant, well-informed, and assertive civil society that contributes to transformational national development and ensures inclusive access to high-quality, accountable public services for all Ghanaian citizens. We strive to empower all citizens, irrespective of gender, disability, age, or location, to participate in decisions and raise concerns.
