## Description

STAR Astronomy, also known as the Society of Telescopy, Astronomy, and Radio, is a vibrant community dedicated to amateur astronomy in Monmouth County, NJ. Established in 1957, STAR Astronomy invites enthusiasts of all ages and backgrounds to explore the cosmos together. The club hosts regular monthly meetings from September to June, which include engaging lectures and discussions led by both members and guest speakers. These meetings take place on the first Thursday of each month via Zoom, with the opportunity for observing sessions depending on weather conditions.

Members benefit from access to various telescopes owned by the club and engage in activities such as amateur telescope making. STAR Astronomy also actively supports local schools, scouts, and park programs by running public astronomy events. With a warm and inclusive atmosphere, STAR Astronomy encourages everyone to experience the wonders of the night sky—no telescope required. Join the exploration of the universe and connect with fellow astronomy enthusiasts at STAR Astronomy, where curiosity and education come to life.
