Founded in 2003, the StarChefs Rising Stars network boasts a diverse community of over 1,500 alumni spanning from the Florida Keys to Seattle. StarChefs' commitment to showcasing excellence extends to their Rising Stars Magazine, a print publication that curates the best recipes, industry trends, business insights, beverage knowledge, and new techniques from five American cities each year, providing inspiration to professionals nationwide.

In addition to the magazine, StarChefs hosts a 15-day Rising Stars Restaurant Week in each market, highlighting the award winners' signature dishes, cocktails, and beverages. They also organize industry events, such as the Honorees Mentor Reception and Industry Late Night, to foster community and celebrate the restaurant industry. The selection process for the Rising Stars Awards involves the StarChefs editorial team conducting in-person tastings and interviews with over 150 chefs, pastry chefs, bartenders, sommeliers, and artisans.

The team carefully selects 18 to 24 professionals who exemplify the future of American dining based on criteria such as creativity, ambition, presentation, philosophy, and, most importantly, delicious food and beverages.
