Star Choices is a non-profit organization that provides community-based support to individuals with disabilities. The brand's journey began in 1954 when parents of children with disabilities sought assistance from the Psychology Department of Mercer University. Out of this meeting, the Macon Association for Retarded Children was formed, eventually leading to the development of various programs and services for individuals with disabilities.

In the 1980s, the organization underwent a transformation, embracing the concept of Normalization and changing its name to Star Choices, Inc. The mission of Star Choices is to promote inclusion and choice for individuals with disabilities, allowing them to live fulfilling lives in their communities. Today, Star Choices offers a wide range of services, including employment opportunities, shared group residences, and support for individuals and their families.
