Star Labs is a brand created by a passionate group of Linux users who wanted to develop the ultimate Linux laptop. Frustrated with the limitations of existing laptops running Linux, they decided to take matters into their own hands. After a few pints and numerous challenges along the way, they successfully assembled their first few laptops using publicly available parts. This marked the birth of Star Labs and their first product, the Star LabTop (Mk I). Over the years, Star Labs has continued to innovate and improve their laptops. They began collaborating with suppliers and design houses, leading to the creation of the Star Lite Mk II and the Star LabTop Mk III in 2018. These laptops received rave reviews from tech experts and customers alike, with the LabTop Mk III offering an exceptional Linux experience and unmatched performance. In 2020, Star Labs faced unexpected challenges due to the global pandemic and component shortages. Nevertheless, they persevered with the support of their loyal customer base and released the highly anticipated StarFighter, a laptop that combines all the features customers had been asking for. Despite the changes and challenges over the years, Star Labs remains committed to providing top-notch Linux support and customer service. They prioritize the needs of Linux users and continuously work to enhance the performance and functionality of their laptops.
