## Description

Starlight Children’s Foundation is an Australian charity dedicated to bringing happiness to seriously ill children and young people. The organisation believes happiness matters to health and helps children cope with the pain, fear and loneliness associated with hospital stays and treatment. Through play, creativity and social connection, Starlight aims to restore moments of childhood for children and support their families.

Its programs include Captain Starlight, who brings fun and distraction to children in hospital; Starlight Express Rooms, welcoming spaces in hospitals; and Livewire, which provides opportunities for young people to connect. Starlight also grants wishes and runs the Healthier Futures Initiative. Its work is delivered in partnership with health professionals, volunteers and supporters.

Individuals and organisations can contribute through one-time or monthly donations, major gifts, gifts in wills, fundraising events, charity raffles, corporate partnerships and donations of goods or services. Volunteer opportunities include working with children in hospitals, supporting fundraising events and providing office or skilled assistance.
