## Description

Start Ventures is a global early-stage venture capital investor focused exclusively on financial services, with particular emphasis on B2B fintech and insurtech. Managed by Onetier Partners SCR, S.A. and based in Lisbon, Portugal, the firm backs visionary founders developing technology-driven solutions to transform the financial sector. It invests in seed-stage companies approaching product-market fit and supports them through the challenges of building and scaling their businesses.

Beyond capital, Start Ventures offers hands-on guidance, sector expertise, and access to an extensive network of potential customers, partners, and investors. Its support can include help with pilot projects and early sales, talent recruitment, legal advice, operational and R&D solutions, and establishing a soft landing in the EU or US. The firm works closely with portfolio companies from early development through growth, helping them shape roadmaps, strengthen their operations, and pursue international opportunities. Start Ventures also invites early-stage investors to co-invest through its partner network. Its portfolio includes companies such as Fraudio, hAPI, and Kirontech.
