## Description

State of Energy is a Western Australian Government initiative presenting the plan for a reliable, affordable and lower-emissions energy future. Through PoweringWA, the initiative supports the modernisation and decarbonisation of the State’s electricity systems while helping ensure energy remains dependable and accessible as the economy and population grow. Its approach combines expanding wind and solar generation with battery storage, flexible gas generation and new transmission infrastructure. The site explains how these technologies work together, including the role of rooftop solar and other distributed energy resources, and provides information about Western Australia’s distinct electricity networks and remote power systems.

State priorities and projects featured include the Clean Energy Link transmission developments, the Pilbara Energy Transition, the Goldfields Regional Network and the WA Residential Battery Scheme.
