## Description

StattVerkehr Osnabrück e.V. is an association founded in 1992 by eleven members to promote environmentally responsible transport development in Osnabrück. Its central initiative was Stadtteilauto, created to make carsharing a practical everyday mobility option. The project grew into Stadtteilauto OS GmbH, jointly owned by the association and Stadtwerke Osnabrück, which has operated the local carsharing service since 2011. Customers and association members can book more than 110 vehicles across around 70 locations, including sites in Osnabrück and the wider region. The fleet includes electric vehicles, which account for approximately 10 percent. Beyond carsharing, the association advocates for sustainable transport and collaborates with related organizations through its membership in the German CarSharing Association. It also lends a seven-seat Ford Transit to other associations, institutions, and nonprofit organizations; the van is not available to private individuals. StattVerkehr welcomes active participation and offers membership, with members receiving a reduced Stadtteilauto joining fee.
