Stay Awhile Midwifery provides intentional, personalized home-birth and well-person care in Salt Lake and Utah counties, Utah. Founded by midwife Teryl Stay, the practice centers care on each client’s preferences and emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Its small client load allows for unhurried attention and a relationship grounded in trust, respect, and empowerment.

The Stay Awhile Birth Package covers care from pregnancy through twelve weeks postpartum for one stated price. It includes home prenatal and postpartum visits, on-call birth attendance, routine lab work and screenings, nutritional counseling, lactation education and support, and newborn checks and screenings. Additional visits are included when needed. A birth pool for water birth is available if desired.

Other offerings include well-person care, such as wellness counseling, Pap smears, STI testing, and basic labs; preconception and family-planning visits; and IUD removal. Teryl brings more than twenty years of experience in birth work and has attended over 400 births as a practicing midwife.
