## Description

St. Chux Derby Chix (SCDC) is a women's flat track roller derby team affiliated with the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA), the international governing body for the sport. Established in 2009, SCDC started bouting in 2010 and became a full WFTDA league in 2012. Unlike the old-school roller derby, SCDC plays on a flat track and follows strict rules that prohibit elbows, punches, and tripping. The league holds local bouts at the Olympia Athletics & Events Centre in St. Charles, Missouri, but also travels frequently to compete against other teams and participate in tournaments. SCDC prides itself on being a family-friendly and inclusive community, projecting a positive and strong athletic image. Skaters of all ages, body types, and professions are welcome to join, and the league actively supports local charities through donations and volunteer work. Whether you're a seasoned skater or a newcomer, SCDC offers an exciting and empowering experience for all.
