## Description

Stichting Steenuilenwerkgroep Drenthe and Steenuilenwerkgroep Friesland are conservation organisations working together to protect and monitor little owls in their regions. In Drenthe, around 18 local volunteer groups contribute to this work, which also connects with conservation efforts in Friesland and Groningen. The organisations support practical habitat protection and research, including nest-box installation, monitoring, observations and investigations into owl populations. They also promote safer drinking facilities for little owls and provide materials to help local volunteer groups carry out conservation activities.

Education and public engagement are an important part of their work. The organisations give talks and share information at markets, open days and community events, where visitors can learn about little owls and their protection. They offer educational resources, including a teaching kit, and welcome donations to support their activities. Stichting Steenuilenwerkgroep Drenthe is a registered public-benefit organisation (ANBI). Its work is supported by public bodies and charitable funds, helping sustain local groups, research and conservation projects.
