## Description

STEM Encounters is a Greenville, North Carolina, learning and enrichment center offering hands-on programs for children from preschool through grade 12. Its approach combines science, technology, engineering, and math with opportunities for creativity, communication, critical thinking, and collaboration. Children are encouraged to follow their interests, build and experiment, work together, ask questions, and learn from mistakes in a supportive environment.

Programs include after-school care with pickup from schools across Pitt County, STEM-focused summer camps, day camps when school is out, drop-in care, Friday Fun Nights, and birthday parties. The center also offers morning preschool to help three-, four-, and five-year-olds prepare for kindergarten while developing social skills. Classes and workshops run throughout the year and feature activities such as paleontology, vehicle building, and volcano experiments; some workshops are delivered onsite at schools to complement their curriculum.

With weekly themes, hands-on projects, games, artistic expression, and opportunities to socialize, STEM Encounters provides engaging experiences for children and convenient options for families.
