## Description

Stephen Anthony Davids is a fine artist born in the East End of London, whose practice brings together portraiture, painting, drawing and the collection of objects. He is known primarily for creating portraits in paint or ink on rare papers and found materials, giving each work a distinctive relationship to its surface. His portfolio includes subjects and themes such as “Noir Cowboy,” “I am a black man in a Red beret,” and “Diversity,” reflecting a varied body of work. Davids describes his approach simply: “I paint. I draw. I collect things and I work with people.”

The artist’s website presents selected works alongside news and writing about his practice, including posts on works on paper and projects such as “The Pugilists,” “Come dine with me” and “Nubian.” His offerings also include limited-edition art prints, such as “Trojan,” a hand-pulled screenprint in an edition of ten. The site provides a portfolio and contact section for visitors interested in learning more about his work. All images remain under Davids’s copyright.
