## Description

Stephtransition is the initiative of Stéphanie Gharbi, an itinerant permaculture practitioner and eco-entrepreneur based in Pelousey, France. With a background in food engineering and experience in the medico-social sector, she draws on her connection to nature to support ecological and social transition and help develop biodiversity. She works collaboratively with groups to create permaculture gardens on their own land or shared living spaces, including in local authorities, associations and businesses.

Stephtransition also offers creative, educational and cooperative workshops for a wide range of participants. Activities can include preparing soil, composting, collecting seeds, sowing, taking cuttings, planting and cooking. For children, these sessions make gardening and food more engaging through practical, hands-on learning. Stéphanie also supports sustainable flower planting, including seasonal, pollinator-friendly and sometimes edible arrangements.

Alongside her independent work, she teaches food-related subjects at Lycée François-Xavier, sharing knowledge about food production, processing, sales and the wider social and environmental issues connected to consumption. Her work reflects a practical, collaborative approach to creating small, lasting spaces for biodiversity.
