## Description

Stepping Stones NI is a brand that is dedicated to supporting individuals with learning difficulties and learning disabilities across Greater Belfast, Lisburn, Downpatrick, and Newtownards. Since its establishment in 1996, Stepping Stones NI has evolved to offer a wide range of services and products. They provide meaningful training and employment opportunities for individuals with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, learning difficulties, and learning disabilities. Stepping Stones NI offers various services to cater to different stages of their clients' journeys. The Transitions Service helps young people transition from school to further education, training, and employment. The Youth Service focuses on developing social skills, training, and work experience for individuals aged 16-24. The Training + Employment Service supports individuals of all ages in gaining qualifications and finding employment. In addition, Stepping Stones NI operates six social enterprises, including three cafes, a bespoke wedding stationery business, a picture framing business, and a horticulture and wellbeing hub. These social enterprises serve as practical training platforms for their trainees, with 100% of the customers' money reinvested to support their work. Stepping Stones NI has established strong partnerships with employers, enabling their trainees to secure work placements and paid jobs. Their ultimate goal is to help individuals facing barriers to learning and employment find fulfilling and sustainable employment opportunities. Stepping Stones NI is grateful for the support of their funders, including the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust. They have also received funding from the UK Government through the Levelling Up fund and the Prosper program 2023-2025. With a vision of a socially enriched world where every individual can take proud steps towards a fulfilled life, Stepping Stones NI strives to nurture the potential of people with disabilities, enabling them to thrive in a socially inclusive society.
