# Stichting Skôn Orre Gat - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `stichtingskonorregat.nl` ## Description Stichting Skôn Orre Gat is a community organisation dedicated to celebrating and preserving Carnival in Oirschot, known during the festivities as Skôn Orre Gat. Since 1974, the foundation has brought residents together through a programme of events that celebrates local tradition, participation and fun for all ages. Its activities span the Carnival season, from the season opening and presentation of the motto song to the grand parade and a shared closing celebration. The foundation organises a wide range of gatherings, including a Carnival theatre, youth events, a children’s parade and children’s Carnival, a senior citizens’ afternoon, and Carnaval Skôn en bijzonder for people with disabilities or those who feel less comfortable attending evening events. It also presents the Joekel award and publishes the Skôn Orre Gat magazine. More than 60 volunteers, along with support from businesses and individuals, help make the celebrations possible.
