## Description

The Stiftung Rotary Club Berlin is a charitable grant-making foundation established in December 2008 to support projects that benefit Berlin and its communities. Closely connected with the Rotary Club Berlin, it helps nonprofit organizations turn worthwhile initiatives into lasting impact. Its funding focuses on four areas: science and education, arts and culture, health and social services, and support for young people and older adults. The foundation backs projects that expand educational opportunities, encourage scientific engagement, enrich cultural life, and strengthen community health and social care. It also supports initiatives serving younger and older generations. Since 2008, the foundation reports distributing €968,534 to support charitable projects and organizations, including €500,000 for refugee integration through the “Menschen in Not” initiative. Its volunteer board and advisory council oversee the foundation’s work. Funding applications are intended for charitable organizations and projects, not individuals; personal assistance, scholarships, study support, and individual medical aid are among the requests it does not fund. The foundation welcomes inquiries from eligible nonprofit organizations.
