## Description

TREE Fund, formally known as the Tree Research and Education Endowment Fund, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to shaping the future of urban forestry and the arboriculture profession. Founded in 2002 through a merger of key industry foundations, TREE Fund has awarded over $5.4 million in grants to support innovative research and educational initiatives. Their mission focuses on advancing knowledge related to tree care, ultimately enhancing the beauty, safety, and sustainability of communities.

The organization offers research grants, education grants, and scholarships aimed at fostering best practices in tree care. Current research priorities include developing disease-resistant tree species, improving pest management strategies, and enhancing tree risk assessments. TREE Fund also emphasizes connecting youth with nature to inspire future generations to pursue careers in green industries. Through programs like Tour des Trees, they engage the community and raise awareness about the importance of trees. By investing in education and research, TREE Fund is committed to ensuring healthy, mature trees remain vital to our urban landscapes.
