## Description

Stitching Sabbatical is the embroidery brand of artist Michelle Staub, specializing in custom hand-embroidered pet portraits. Each one-of-a-kind portrait is created as a detailed thread painting, offering a personal way to celebrate and remember a beloved pet. Alongside commissioned artwork, the brand helps people explore embroidery for themselves through educational resources designed for different levels of involvement.

Michelle’s book teaches readers how to create realistic pet portraits with needle and thread, starting with four basic embroidery stitches and progressing through detailed tutorials. Stitching Sabbatical also offers embroidery courses, mentorship, and a free pattern, as well as embroidery patterns, kits, pins, and stickers in its shop. Visitors can browse a portfolio, learn about the artist, and find information on commissions, pricing, frequently asked questions, and policies. With a focus on pet portraiture and accessible instruction, Stitching Sabbatical brings together original handmade art and practical tools for people interested in learning the craft.
