## Description

STIVA, the Foundation for Responsible Alcohol Consumption, is dedicated to promoting responsible drinking and ethical alcohol advertising in the Netherlands. Collaborating with local producers and importers of beer, wine, and spirits, STIVA champions a balanced lifestyle and encourages consumers to make informed choices about alcohol consumption. With over 90% of Dutch individuals refraining from excessive drinking, STIVA plays a crucial role in fostering awareness around responsible habits.

The foundation supports self-regulation in alcohol marketing by ensuring advertising targets adults and minimizes youth exposure to irresponsible messages. Compliance with the established Advertising Code for Alcoholic Beverages is closely monitored, with the ability to swiftly adapt guidelines as societal norms evolve. STIVA also provides training and resources to partners, addressing inquiries and hosting workshops to bolster understanding of alcohol advertising regulations.

With a commitment to transparency, STIVA regularly shares insights and research findings regarding alcohol's societal impacts, striving to maintain an open dialogue about responsible consumption.
