## Description

St. John’s College is a residential college of The University of Hong Kong, established in 1912 as the university’s first residential hall. Its mission is to nurture future leaders in a supportive community, developing students’ intellectual and critical-thinking abilities alongside open-mindedness, moral principles and physical well-being. Guided by the ethos “Virtue and Wisdom,” the College emphasizes service, inclusive living and personal growth.

The College provides accommodation and shared campus facilities, including a dining hall, common room, library, billiard room and green spaces. Its residential experience brings together local and international students, with a 50:50 local-to-international ratio and residents from 29 nationalities. Students can take part in academic, sporting and cultural activities, study trips, and the traditions and community life of their floors. The College also supports undergraduate and postgraduate admissions, bursaries and scholarships, and pastoral care. Its alumni community remains connected through the St. John’s College Alumni Association, news and events, reflecting the College’s belief that membership is a lifelong journey.
