St. Laurent Institute (SLI) is a leading brand specializing in Systems Biology and Genomics. Our research focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms of chronic diseases through cutting-edge technologies, including Single Molecule Transcriptome and Epigenome sequencing.

Established in 2006 as a non-profit medical research institute, SLI was founded by Georges St. Laurent, Jr., a renowned board member of the Celera Human Genome Project. With a global presence, our research activities span across India, Russia, Amazonia, and the United States.

Headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, SLI conducts research in multiple locations. Our collaborative project with The George Washington University is based in Washington D. C., while our high throughput genomics pipeline is located in Cambridge, MA.

Our Bioinformatics and Systems Biology team operates out of Novosibirsk, Russia. SLI has established research collaborations with esteemed investigators at leading institutions, including collaborations with Claes Wahlestedt at Scripps Institute Florida. Our projects cover a wide range of areas, including novel molecular mechanisms of human physiology, quantitative molecular diagnostics, and multi-target treatment systems.

Internationally, we have longstanding programs in collaboration with the German Duque Foundation, focusing on the Molecular Mechanisms of Homotoxicology, as well as programs in South America.
