## Description

The Child Labor Coalition (CLC), established in November 1989, is a dedicated alliance formed by various concerned groups to combat the exploitation of children in the workplace. With a firm belief that no child should endure unfair labor practices, the CLC defines exploitative child labor as any coerced, forced, or harmful employment that obstructs children’s access to education and impairs their well-being.

The coalition engages in a comprehensive array of activities, including testimony before legislatures, hosting educational forums, and conducting research to promote awareness of child labor issues. Their outreach covers numerous sectors, such as agriculture, electronics, textiles, and mining, both in the U.S. and internationally. CLC members, including the Ramsay Merriam Fund and the National Education Association, support various initiatives, campaigns, and educational resources aimed at informing the public and advocating for legislative changes. Through these efforts, the CLC strives to ensure a safer and more equitable future for children worldwide. Join their mission to end child labor by supporting their initiatives and staying informed.
