## Description

Stord Karateklubb is a karate club founded in 1991, based on Stord, Norway. Since its establishment, the club’s main activities have been held in the gym at Tjødnalio School. It teaches traditional JKA Shotokan karate and is affiliated with the Norwegian Karate Association, the Norwegian Martial Arts Federation and the Norwegian Sports Federation. The club’s coaching team has foundational training within JKA’s education system.

The club provides information for prospective beginners and members, including membership details, prices, training schedules, grading and belt colours, and its training venue. Its activities also include competitions and events. These feature Shobu Ippon Cup, with kata and kumite for juniors, elite competitors and veterans aged 40 and over; Shobu Ippon Open, an unofficial national championship open from the year participants turn 13; and Norway’s annual national championship for eligible brown- and black-belt competitors aged 13 or older. Stord Karateklubb also shares club news, photographs and feedback, and provides information about summer camp, demonstrations and its karate shop.
