## Description

Società Santacrocese di Storia Patria is a cultural association dedicated to preserving and sharing the history and heritage of Santa Croce Camerina and its surrounding area in Sicily. Through research, publications and public activities, it explores local history, ethnography and significant archaeological and historical sites. The association organizes talks and events, including presentations on investigations at the town’s Mother Church and the history of Torre di Mezzo, and holds meetings for members. Its publications include the Archivio Storico series, monographs, reviews and other works documenting the region’s past. The website also features photographs and videos, information about the association and its members, and details about its library. Historical materials highlighted include reproductions of documents from the Tabulario of Santa Maria la Latina in Agira, relating to the Priory of Santa Croce; these are kept and displayed at the municipal library in Santa Croce Camerina. The association is based on Via Gozzi in Santa Croce Camerina and welcomes interest in local history, research and heritage.
