## Description

StoryCon is a national convention celebrating readers, writers, educators, and the power of storytelling. Presented by Operation Literacy, a nonprofit organization, this two-day experience brings together people of different ages and creative interests for a book festival and a practical writing conference. The 2027 event takes place at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, with a dedicated day for tweens on February 4 and programming for adults, educators, and teens on February 5–6.

Attendees can choose age-specific conference tracks, attend keynote sessions and author events, and take part in masterclasses, film consultations, agent and editor sessions, book signings, and an exhibitor marketplace. StoryCon also offers contests in areas including writing, cover art, film scripts, and songwriting, as well as the Teen Readers’ Choice Award and the Read Your Way program. Educators have dedicated programming and resources, while adult writers can join StoryClub, an online community offering connection, accountability, author hangouts, and digital courses in writing, editing, and marketing. StoryCon promotes reading, creativity, and inclusive, age-appropriate learning.
