IRIS | Story for Impact is a young and innovative brand dedicated to promoting impactful storytelling and narrative strategies. Founded in 2019 as an initiative within the Ford Foundation’s International Programs, IRIS has since evolved into a fully-integrated storytelling and narrative strategy model. The brand's mission is to foster collaborations between independent storytellers, journalists, and community-based movements to drive narrative shift and create widespread acceptance and support for their work.

With a focus on gender, racial and ethnic justice, climate change, civic engagement, technology, and more, IRIS aims to initiate new conversations and strengthen networks and initiatives. As a donor collaborative, IRIS is supported by prominent foundations such as Compton, Children’s Investment Fund, Ford, Open Society, and Skoll. While they do not accept grant applications, the team is open to informational conversations to exchange ideas and experiences.
