## Description

Strachwitz.net is the online hub for the historic family of the Counts and Barons of Strachwitz, whose lineage can be traced back to the 13th century in present-day Lower Silesia, Poland. The website serves as a platform for family members to connect, share information, and celebrate their rich heritage, which spans across Germany, Austria, the UK, the USA, Argentina, Australia, and beyond. The site features a wealth of resources, including a family tree, galleries showcasing art and cultural history, as well as literary contributions from notable family members. One prominent figure in the family legacy is Chris Strachwitz, the founder of Arhoolie Records, who championed traditional American music and preserved many cultural sounds that might have otherwise faded away.
