## Description

Strasbourg Escrime is a fencing club in Strasbourg dedicated to teaching and promoting the sport for people of different ages and skill levels. The club aims to provide a safe, supportive environment where members can build their abilities while developing discipline, sportsmanship, and a lasting interest in fencing. Its programme includes instruction in foil and épée, two modern fencing weapons with distinct rules and target areas. The club also offers artistic and stage fencing, a collaborative practice that brings historical duels to life, from antiquity and the Middle Ages to the age of the musketeers and the early twentieth century. Combining movement, performance, and historical knowledge, this activity is open to beginners as well as experienced fencers. Participants learn to choreograph and rehearse staged encounters with attention to skill, storytelling, and safety; the club lends a practice cane for introductory sessions. Online registration is available, with medical certificates required in specified circumstances. Training and activities take place at the Salle d’Armes des 2 Rives, in Gymnase Aristide Briand.
