## Description

Streekdagen is an agricultural and community event organized in Meeuwen, with roots in Stichting Landbouwfestiviteiten (SLF), founded in the 1980s. Initially held in Almkerk as the Landbouwdagen, the event began with tractor pulling, exhibitors and live entertainment. It expanded over time to include truck pulling, animal shows and children’s activities, and was renamed Streekdagen in 1991. The organization now presents a varied program for visitors of all ages, with truck and tractor pulling as a central attraction. In this competition, participants pull a weighted sled along a specially prepared track, typically about 100 metres long, as resistance increases. The wider event includes a Friday evening in a party tent and Saturday activities such as animal displays, children’s play areas, an excavator-handling challenge, a braderie and a square featuring exhibitors. Streekdagen also shares updates about its program and new activities through social media. Its next event is scheduled for September 4 and 5, 2026, at Dorpsstraat 2 in Meeuwen, where visitors can find tickets and event information.
