## Description

StreetWise is a brand dedicated to helping Chicago's homeless men and women achieve personal stability and strength through social services and employment opportunities. With the goal of empowering people to work, StreetWise offers a variety of services, including their flagship magazine, which vendors can buy and resell to earn immediate income. StreetWise also provides the S.T.E.P. (StreetWise Transition to Employment Program) to facilitate job skills training, employment connections, and ongoing support services.

As an organization committed to providing opportunities for marginalized voices, StreetWise operates with the mission to offer "a hand up, not a handout." Their statistics speak for themselves, with over 500 individuals empowered to work and a 53% employment rate in the S.T.E.P. program. Additionally, StreetWise serves over 180,000 magazines yearly and has sold over 15,000 meals. With a focus on dignity and empowerment, StreetWise truly provides essential support to those in need, offering them a pathway out of homelessness and poverty.
