## Description

StrongHearts is a brand that aims to restore power to Native Americans impacted by domestic and sexual violence. They offer a culturally-appropriate, anonymous, and confidential helpline available 24/7 nationwide. Survivors, family, friends, and partners who are questioning their behavior can connect with StrongHearts advocates for support and advocacy. The services provided include crisis intervention, assistance with safety planning, domestic violence education and information, referrals to Native-centered service providers, information about health options, support in finding local health facilities or crisis centers, and general information about jurisdiction and legal advocacy referrals. StrongHearts was developed by Native advocates in collaboration with the National Indigenous Women's Resource Center and the Family Violence Prevention and Services Program. It became an independent nonprofit organization in October 2021. StrongHearts is dedicated to weaving together safety, sovereignty, and support for Native Americans impacted by violence, with the vision of eradicating violence and restoring sacredness in tribal communities.
