## Description

Studentafton is a committee within Akademiska Föreningen in Lund, Sweden, with a tradition dating back to 1905. It organizes public events for students and the wider community, serving as an independent forum for conversation, debate and cultural exchange. Often described as “Sweden’s freest speaker’s platform,” Studentafton has welcomed guests from fields including research, politics, music, journalism, literature, the arts and business. Its events bring speakers and audiences together for talks and discussions in Lund, with upcoming programmes and ticket information available through its calendar.

Studentafton also makes selected events accessible beyond the live audience. Its podcast features recordings from past evenings, allowing listeners to revisit events or catch up on ones they missed. Recent episodes have included conversations with Jacob Wallenberg, Carl Skau of the UN World Food Programme, and political commentators. The organization shares event recordings and written reports, maintains an archive of its history, and offers information about its committee, alumni network, recruitment and partnerships.
