## Description

The Akademischer Segler-Verein in München e. V. (ASViM) is a student sailing association that introduces students to sailing and offers opportunities to take part in the sport on the Ammersee and farther afield on the world’s seas. With a fleet of 14 boats, the association combines practical sailing experience with the physical work involved in handling boats, providing an active counterbalance to everyday student life.

ASViM is also a community built around spending time together. Members share sailing adventures and take part in parties, seminars and sea voyages, creating opportunities to meet and form lasting friendships. The association’s activities include regattas and other events, and its website provides information about membership, its boat fleet and upcoming activities. Students interested in sailing can explore how to join and learn more about the club through its membership and contact information. By bringing sailing, shared experiences and social activities together, ASViM offers students a way to engage with the sport both on local waters and during voyages beyond the Ammersee.
