## Description

Studio of Considered Things is the surface design and illustration studio of Kerry Boan, whose work draws inspiration from nature, botanical subjects, and historical and vintage design. Combining research with a love of hand-drawn detail, varied linework, layered texture, and thoughtfully balanced color, Kerry creates designs that bring together different eras, cultures, and styles in cohesive, personal ways.

The studio develops patterns and collections for textiles, wallpaper, and home decor. Brands and art directors can explore artwork for licensing, including designs featured in collections such as Summer Gala, Bee Balm in Bloom, and Meadow’s Edge. The studio also welcomes collaborations and offers freelance and custom design for interior designers, makers, small businesses, and brands seeking original patterns or collections created for their needs.

For artists and illustrators, Studio of Considered Things provides botanical photo-reference collections featuring multiple views, angles, and details, along with practical creative resources. Studio Notes shares updates and insights on topics related to the creative practice.
