## Description

Hoshikawa Sugiyama Jinja, nestled atop a hill in Yokohama's Hodogaya Ward, boasts a rich history spanning over 1,200 years. This revered shrine is dedicated to Yamato Takeru no Mikoto, a deity symbolizing strength, wisdom, and compassion. Historically, it served as a beacon for sailors navigating Yokohama’s port, and its landscapes were once adorned by lush cedar and pine trees, framing the shrine in a natural embrace.

Visitors can experience a myriad of services, including traditional prayers and weddings, in an environment steeped in cultural heritage. The shrine’s annual events and celebrations offer insightful glimpses into Japan's folklore and spiritual practices.
