## Description

Summ is US-focused cryptocurrency tax software designed to help individuals and tax professionals organize crypto activity and prepare IRS-ready reports. Formerly known as Crypto Tax Calculator, the brand provides a unified way to track assets held across exchanges and wallets, including activity involving DeFi and NFTs. It supports more than 1,000 integrations, with tools to connect accounts, import transactions, review records, and generate tax reports.

Summ’s automated workflow is built around US tax requirements, including guidance for personal-use transactions, mining, staking, and airdrops. Its reporting supports Form 8949 and TurboTax, as well as Form 1099-DA: users can upload the form so Summ can compare reported proceeds with their broader transaction history. The software also offers Least Tax First Out, an algorithm that uses the asset lot with the highest cost basis when a disposal occurs, with the aim of optimizing tax outcomes. Summ identifies Coinbase and MetaMask as official partners and offers services for individuals, accountants, and businesses.
