## Description

Summer Sanity is a family-focused planning platform designed to make organizing summer and school-year childcare easier for parents. Founded by Charlotte-based co-founders Megan Spivey and Megan Petrik, the service brings camp schedules, activities, babysitting plans, and parent connections together in one shared calendar. Its user-friendly calendar helps families coordinate schedules, including camps with morning and afternoon sessions, and provides a “Summer at a Glance” view for reviewing plans across the season.

Parents can connect with trusted families to share plans, find activities, and arrange for children to attend camps with friends, reducing the need to manage logistics through spreadsheets, texts, emails, and group chats. Summer Sanity also offers a growing camp directory, with Charlotte-area options across sports, STEM, visual and performing arts, overnight camps, and other categories. The company says it plans to expand the directory to additional cities. Parents can join for free, while camp providers have a dedicated section of the site. Summer Sanity aims to make childcare planning more organized and less stressful for families.
