## Description

MAS Šumperský venkov is a registered association bringing together residents, municipalities, businesses, schools and nonprofit organizations across 16 municipalities in the Šumperk countryside. Its purpose is to support the region’s development by connecting local stakeholders, encouraging collaboration and dialogue, and attracting funding for community priorities. The organization publishes grant calls through which applicants can seek financial support for their projects, and it helps them prepare and administer applications. It also develops and delivers its own projects and events.

Its work spans community life, education, local business, municipalities and rural development. Activities include support for regional producers, meetings for entrepreneurs and mayors, educational workshops, energy advice, and projects focused on social services and community wellbeing. The group also supports improvements to local conditions and helps strengthen opportunities for young people and nonprofit organizations. Through initiatives such as the New Green Savings Light programme, it provides guidance and support connected with home energy improvements.
