## Description

Sun Prairie Civic Theatre (SPCT) is a community theatre serving Sun Prairie and the greater Madison area, where it has been enriching lives through live performance since 1970. Its mission is to strengthen the community through the transformative experience of theatre, welcoming people to participate onstage, backstage, or as audience members.

SPCT presents a varied season of plays, musicals, youth productions, adaptive performances, and murder-mystery events. Its past shows include The Sound of Music, Sweeney Todd, The Addams Family, and productions for young performers, while upcoming offerings include A Christmas Carol: Live Radio Play, The Penguin Project, and junior musicals. The theatre also offers classes and opportunities to audition, direct, volunteer, and become a member.

Audiences can order tickets, purchase gift cards, and support SPCT through donations, memberships, or show sponsorships. The organization awards the Frank Peot Scholarship for Theater and the Performing Arts. It also rents costumes and props to community theatre groups and schools across Wisconsin and the Midwest, extending its support for local performing arts beyond its own productions.
