## Description

Sunte Mart’n is a longstanding community festival held in the centre of Wierden, the Netherlands. Rooted in local tradition, the event began as a market on the first Monday of November and has grown into a lively multi-day celebration combining culture, history and contemporary entertainment. Its 162nd edition is scheduled for Friday, 30 October, through Monday, 2 November 2026, with activities, performances and opportunities for people to meet and enjoy the town together.

Organised by Stichting Sunte Mart’n Wierden, the festival welcomes visitors from across the region and aims to offer something for everyone, whether they are drawn by the atmosphere, music or heritage. The organisation works with local partners, including Gemeente Wierden, Station KPN and Wandelvereniging Ambulare. Businesses, organisations and residents can support the event through four sponsorship packages, which include promotional visibility and other benefits. The website also provides programme information, results, festival history, news and photo archives. Sunte Mart’n brings the community together while helping preserve a valued Wierden tradition.
