ENSM, or École Nationale Supérieure Maritime, is a prestigious brand that specializes in training officers for the merchant navy. The brand offers a range of products and services to aspiring officers and maritime experts. At ENSM, students can enroll in the three-year program to become merchant navy officers in either the Pont (Bridge) or Machine (Engine) department.

Graduates receive a title of engineer after completing the Diploma of Higher Studies in Merchant Navy (DESMM). Additionally, ENSM provides specialized courses in maritime engineering, such as ship eco-management (EGN) and offshore systems deployment and maintenance (DMO). With a rich history dating back to the creation of hydrography schools by Charles IX in 1571, and then subsequently as part of the national schools of the Merchant Navy, ENSM is a public institution under the authority of the Prime Minister's Office responsible for the Marine sector.
